This project is a simulation of me and my cousins going back to the Y2K era. The name Y2KIDS can be referred to Year 2000 Kids since all of us were born around the year 2000.
As a 2000s kid, I am deeply influenced by the Y2K aesthetic since the Y2K elements could be found almost everywhere during the period when I was a kid - advertisement boards, logos, music videos and even some of the new barbie’s clothes. I feel like even though things that I like today are not fully Y2K, but always have a pinch of this aesthetic - glitter, metallic texture and bling as far as the eye could see. It’s something subliminal in my head!
